    Hi,

I am uppgrating from MODx 0.9.6.3 to MODx Evolution 1.0.2, and I obtained the following error: (I copy the checks from installation process)

    Checking PHP version: OK!

Checking if Register_Globals is off: OK!

Checking if sessions are properly configured: OK!

Checking if /assets/cache and /assets/cache/rss directories exist: OK!

Checking if /assets/cache and /assets/cache/rss directories are writable: OK!

Checking if /assets/cache/siteCache.idx.php file is writable: OK!

Checking if /assets/cache/sitePublishing.idx.php file is writable: OK!

Checking if /assets/images, /assets/files, /assets/flash and /assets/media directories exists: OK!

Checking if /assets/images, /assets/files, /assets/flash and /assets/media directories are writable: OK!

Checking if /assets/export directory exists: OK!

Checking if /assets/export directory is writable: OK!

Checking if /manager/includes/config.inc.php exists and is writable: OK!

Creating connection to the database: OK!

Checking table prefix `modx_`: FAILED! - Table prefix does not exist in this database!

Setup couldn’t install into the selected database, as it does not contain existing tables with the prefix you specified to be upgraded. Please choose an existing table prefix, and run Setup again.

Checking MySQL version: OK! Your MySQL version is: 5.1.37

Checking MySQL for strict sql_mode: OK!

Unfortunately, Setup cannot continue at the moment, due to the above error. Please correct the error, and try again. If you need help figuring out how to fix the problem, visit the MODx Forums.

Please, give me your recommendations to eliminate the installation error

When upgrading, you’ll need to specify the database prefix; obviously your existing site is not using the default modx_ prefix. Check your existing config.inc.php file to determine the prefix that your installation is using.

        thanxs,

I have reviewed the prefix, and the problem was I backuped the xampp database before, and updated the xampp also. Therefore, now i have restablished the MODx database, and i just have a good installation.
