I’ve created a new user account with the predefined editor permissions. But after I login with these permission and try to create a new page or weblink I cannot save it. An alert occurs which says that I do not have the right permissions. Looking at the permissions, creating pages and weblinks is enabled. What can cause the problem???

I have the same problem. It works fine on my local host but not after transferring to a server. I can create a page as Administrator so I assume there are no file of directory permission issues. I am at a loss why the Editor role will not allow a page to be saved. I need to let my users into the system so I could do with an answer. Did you resolve it?
Has anyone else had this and found an answer?

In addition to my point above, in the role of Editor an existing resource (page) can be edited and saved it is only that a new resource cannot be saved.

If the new pages are in the site root, make sure you have the allow_root system setting set to true in Tools | Configuration.

I’ve changed the configuration and it now works. It was always going to be something simple it was just knowing what.
