What do I need: I’d like to make a page for processing user submitted data (with a form). The post method is POST. I made such a page, the form is displayed, but I have a problem with the action link (the address of the page, where the data should be processed). When I set this link to "
http://my-host-address/my-modx-folder/index.php?id=10" (let’s assume that my page id is 10), after pressing the "Submit" button the main page is displayed (not the page of id=10).
I tried to set the user friendly URLs (
http://wiki.modxcms.com/index.php/Friendly_URLs_Guide), in the following configurations:
- use only friendly prefix URL
- use only friendly aliases
but without any success (.htaccess files are in the modx folder). In both cases, I’m able to get to the main page (http://my-host-address/my-modx-folder/), but when I’m trying to get to some other page, I’m taken to either http://my-host-address/my-modx-folder/<number>.html (when the page has no alias), or http://my-host-address/my-modx-folder/<alias>.html (when the page has some alias), but all I can see later is the message saying that the object hasn’t been found (404).
Perhaps I did something wrong (or didn’t do something) with my Apache server. I’m a newbie. The log says only that the page I’m trying to get doesn’t exist.
I use modx 1.0.2.
