i am looking for a way for website visitors to be able to send my modx users an email message (like eform). i realize there is a messaging system built into webloginpe, but that sends a message that the user must login to view correct? i know for a fact that many of my users will not login regularly at all, if at all, in fact i plan to be editing an updating many of their profiles myself.
so what i’d like to have, is when webloginpe displays a list of the users, have a link to "send ___ a message", which would let the user send a message that would go to the person’s email (again like eform). so the system i think i need would be to have some way to populate the &to field in eform with an email address, which would be set via a request variable i guess.
any ideas on how this is done? i found this thread:
http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,41307.0.html where someone had done something similar, but didn’t say how it was done (and the eform board isn’t very active). i’d like to do something very similar to this, but instead of checking checkboxes and hitting a submit button and sending to multiple users, you’d just click a link, and the eform would be populated with that person’s info. thanks.
