What is the best way to back-up my entire website (files and database)? Do I use a certain Modx backup module?

I am NOT a programmer, and I don’t understand techno-jargon.

Can someone please walk me through the process from the beginning?

The easiest way is to download the MODx files (index.php, index-ajax.php, .htaccess, the assets folder and the manager folder)and use the database backup in the Manager at Tools -> Backup.

Or, you can install one of the backup modules available here http://modxcms.com/extras/search.html?query=backup

This one is my personal favorite http://modxcms.com/extras/package/46
