I am doing my first full build in Revolution and am completely stumped at how to make a drop-down menu. From what I understand / am experiencing ...

Wayfinder: has been deprecated and no longer supported in Revolution
Ditto: isn’t really designed to do menus like this as it doesn’t have support for inner/outer TPL, etc.
getResources: supposedly what is going to replace Wayfinder in Revolution, except I cannot get it to work *at all*. As soon as I put &parents=’0’ in the call, it fails

Can anyone shed some light on how to make a parent/child menu in Revo?

Wayfinder is definitely not deprecated in Revo. We still use it to build all our menus in our Revo deployments.

Wayfinder is not deprecated and is supported in Revolution. It’s a Revolution specific version with same parameters as evolution.

The same goes for Ditto. getResource is an alternative to Ditto.

You can download them via the package manager directly from the Manager. (You should take a look at some screencasts, they can be really useful)

Oh, well that’s good news smiley

I was going by splittingred’s post:

You’ll have to talk to the Wayfinder author (kyle) if you’d like to see those features in the Revo Wayfinder; we wont be continuing development on it, as we’ll be moving to getResources and other Revo-centric snippets.

I was having major issues with Wayfinder and I was fearing the issue was it wasn’t being supported anymore. I am thrilled to know it’s just user error wink
