New to Modx - very cool... looking for best way to achieve a few things.
BACKSTORY
I have a simple main menu of 3 items and am using jQuery Tabs to switch from each menu item. See here:

Menu Item 2 "work" will ultimately show a page of 25 links and this needs to be dynamically generated. Currently using wayfinder for that which seems fine.
Selecting a "work_page" from these 25 links needs to move to a new page that uses the Anything Slider script to display ’X’ number of images in a horizontal slider.

QUESTIONS
How can I get from "work" submenu to "work_page" seamlessly with ajax so as not to see a page load?
How can I dynamically determine how many images to show in the "work_page" where some pages might need to show 2 images and others might show 5?
Can I get those X number of images into the "work_page" without having to manually add them to a page - can they be seen inside a folder on my server and be called from there?
