Email notification once News is posted

Hi,
I’m using the snippet NewsPublisher to add News article. I’d like to be notified via email upon news article submission. What’s the best way to approach this? If anyone has an idea on how to change the NewsPublisher snippet for email notification I would greatly appreciate any input.
Thanks a bunch

I would think that you could use a plug-in for this, but not sure which event to tie it into since the form is in the front end. The other option is to simply add a mail() function to the snippet. I am not familiar with the code for NP but try to find the last event (is there a success message?) and add the php mail() function.

I think this feature would be a nice addition to the snippet
