Very confused by this .. I want to be able to have site.com/parent/child without any kind of file suffix (like .html).

By default, the configuration under Friendly URL -> Suffix for Friendly URL is ".html". I changed that to "/", and Ditto still outputs ".html" on the end.

Then I saw this thread: http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,27416.0.html

With the default configuration, all HTML content type pages will have an extension of .html -- you can modify this in the content types management section. But the friendly URLs in Revolution are now very strict; those aliases shouldl work if you add .html to the end.

Now, when I go into Content Types, I see that HTML has an extension of ".html". When I change that to something like "/" or even ".php", everything still outputs as .html.

Can anyone give some insight on how to make Revolution drop the suffix and just do site.com/parent/child ?

    Many thanks!

Per the thread linked above, the answer lies in Content Types. You have to change the content type extension to "" (blank), not "/", and then RESAVE all content and clear cache.

This is nice too because you can still save something with an extension (aka make the align sitemap.xml) and have it called properly.
