Stupid me, I developed my site in a sub directory locally and when I took it to the live server I also installed and uploaded into a sub-directory. Now, I just want to move the index.php to the main directory but I know I just can’t "put" it there... what would I need to do to get that accomplished?

Move the entire install from the folder into the root of the site. Login to the manager and change the path in the config (tools > config (file manager and something else tab)) the path only appears twice. Then clear the site cache.
Others may suggest moving the folder and then run the installer in upgrade mode which also works, but I’ve found moving the site and changing the two paths is all that’s needed... YMMV

Pay attention to your .htaccess file as well; if you have the RewriteBase set to /subdirectory, make sure to change that to just plain /
It sort of worked. The index.php is not functioning as it should, all the file paths are still set to what they were before with the subdirectory, when I look at all the other pages things are fine, it is just the index.php
Any ideas?
