    I have looked for info on this in the forum and can’t find any. My apologies if this has been covered before.

    Simple thing... Got the home page set up. When I create a new container it shows up in my nav. But when the link is clicked I get a 404 error. I can preview it though. Same goes when I try to create a new page and place it under a parent container.

    Basically, this is how I want the site structured - pretty standard folder setup for a site.

    root/index.php
    root/subdirectory/index.php

    This is what I am trying to do but can’t seem to make it go. Links typically appear in my nav but don’t seem to work.

    Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks.

      I assume you’re using MODx Evo. Make sure your new resource is published, otherwise it won’t be viewable from the front end. In the document tree, right click on it and select "Publish Resource".

        Thanks for the info. I think it’s got something to do w/ friendly urls. I turned it off and now it works. I will look into this after I have the site built. I never did mess with configuring the server for rewrites.

        Think that could be the issue? MODx behaves like friendly urls are setup right, server behaves otherwise. Does that make sense?

          Do you have a htaccess file set up? Also, make sure that in head section of your template that you have defined the base_href

          <base href="[(site_url)]" />
