I’m trying to figure out how to get something more than the "simple" menu that is associated with a richtext field when using TinyMCE. Snooping a bit with Firebug, I see a class suggesting that there is a simple menu specified. And knowing that in the user configuration there are other menus, I assume that this isn’t the only one available.

Indeed in searching the docs, there is the suggestion that "Toolbar" is a property. But there is no discussion of how to get at it and what the valid options are. And the configuration options in MODx don’t seem to affect the simple menu that is presented.

So can anyone tell me how I can get at and change the options available when editting a rich-text field?
    TIA,
    MattC
PS I really have no idea where this question belongs. If it ought to be somewhere else, then I’ll repost...

      Well MattC,
      A) You probably ought to have posted this in the "Rich Text" forum
      and
      B) You can include the TinyMCE javascript just ahead of the field call and - it seems - get at the menu that way.

More importantly, though, since I infer that you want to upload a thumbnail, you’re probably "up the creek" in any event, as the image uploading plugin for TinyMCE is not free. Soooo... probably ought to look at other editors in that case.

      Regards,
      MattC
