Table sorting in manager, or in TV Datagrid widget

It’s not always easy to choose which forum to post questions. I hope this is the right one for these questions:

1. Where in the manager files can I find the datagrid used on i.e. the System Schedule reports and Manager Actions reports? I want to see if that can be used in the dbEditor module. Or: Are the built-in datagrid in Manager the same as datagrid.class.php?

The reason I ask is because there is a built-in sorting function in the datagrid used for the System Schedule reports and Manager Actions reports. But not for the TV datagrid widget. (As far as I know). But when I put in a (in this case a jquery) sorting script, I some how get the same arrow as in the System Schedule reports and Manager Actions reports (a tiny arrow pointing upwards or downwards, on the right side of the column title. I wanted to show images here, but it’s no longer allowed). So it tells me there must be a connection. Or, I haven’t read the code for the dbEditor good enough.

The manager actions logging code is in manager/actions/logging.static.php and then includes manager/includes/paginate.inc.php.
