Can someone help me with a little query please?

Basically i have a site that has a downloads section.

This section needs to contain a list of downloadable pdf files with a nice filename, icon and link.

What would be the best way to do this?

My thought was to use ditto to display resources, but how would i upload a PDF to a resource?

    Thanks in advance shocked

just did the same exact thing. this snippet is really good:

      http://modxcms.com/extras/package/?package=146

and the wiki page for it:

      http://wiki.modxcms.com/index.php/FileDownload

was a snap to setup, i actually spent more time searching for icons than i did setting it up. then i was able to style it with css and it looks really good and works very well.

otherwise - if you want to do it with resources you can upload files to the server and then use "weblink" resources that point to them. then you can get your pdfs included in wayfinder menus. my only word of caution with that is that the weblinks work perfectly in wayfinder, but if you want to make a link to the weblink, like <a href="[~123~]">Link</a>, make sure your weblink has an absolute path to the file (http://www.domain.com/file.pdf) - otherwise clicking the link will probably result in a 404, at least it did for me.
