I am wondering if someone could please tell me, how my client can edit something in the sidebar of a web page? I know the main content is [*content*].
Here is 4 common ways:
- A manager user edits a TV (the best way - he sees a extra field under content when editing)
- A manager user edits a chunk
- A manager user edits a file
- A web user edits a record in the database (MODx or Custom) through a html form/snippet.
Thanks, I think I will go for the best way - TV.
You can tag a TV so that QuickEdit or QuickManager (depends on your MODx version)
will recognize it and your client could edit it from the front end.
