    I have with Opera 10 a problem appeared with latest versions of the browser: maybe it’s just some setting I should change, but which one?

    Running XAMPP on Windows XP, I have a MODx Evolution (1.0.0) on local development environment.

    Here it is how to reproduce my issue: make a "test" document node with only the following content:

    [!php!]

    With the "php" snippet being this one:

    <?php
    if(!isset($filename)){
    	$filename = $modx->documentObject['alias'];
    }
    if(!isset($filepath)){
    	$filepath = "src/";
    }
    if(!isset($filetype)){
    	$filetype = ".php";
    }
    $scriptfilename = $filepath.$filename.$filetype;
    if(!file_exists($scriptfilename)){
    return ("<strong>Error:</strong> script file ".$scriptfilename." not found");
    }
    include($scriptfilename);
    ?>

    And in the "src" folder create a "test.php" file with the following content:

    <?php

    echo 'C'mon baby';

    ?>

    Then, in Firefox/IE7/IE8/Chrome you can try loading the "test" (=alias) node: the "php" snippet will call and execute the "test.php" file. But as you can see there’s a syntax error in the code (an unescaped single quote inside the string), and all those browsers are right showing the (useful) message:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting ',' or ';' in C:\xampp\htdocs\project\src\test.php on line 3

    Instead, my Opera 10.01 behaves badly, and shows a "Error! Remote server or file not found" error page: (look here)

    This is just a simple example, but the same behaviour happens with other errors; sometimes I also see that instead of the error page, the last successfully rendered page is shown.

    How can I get opera show the php error, like it used to do until latest versions?
