Image folders / upload images

I’ve searched the forum and can’t seem to find the answer, so here goes...

I’m wondering if Modx lets you create image folders where you can upload images for different galleries? I’ve come from using CMS Made Simple, whereby you can create multiple image folders in the admin section and then tell your gallery of choice (eg: Slideshow) to simply pull the images from a particular folder that you have created. Is this possible in Modx? I can’t see anywhere in the admin section where you can create a new folder, or upload images. It seems like a really basic function so I think I must be missing something obvious here... Thanks in advance for any help!

Like almost everything in MODx, there are various ways to do it...

In the manager you can create a folder by making a document a container.
You can create a Template Variable and give it an image input type and
when you create a document with the template that you assigned the TV to,
it will open the resource browser where you can create folders and upload
images.

The other way is to install one of the many gallery snippets found in the
extras section and in the forums, like MaxiGallery, Direct Resize, etc. which
give you different characteristics to manage and display your images.
