    Hi folks
well, i’ve nearly completed my first ModX site - and generally I’ve found the process very rewarding. There are a few issues I’m having though that I’d like to ask you all to help with.

1: I’ve set up my site with a strict XHTML Doctype. When I try and validate the site, the validator chokes on the dashboard elements that appear at the top of the screen. I’m not at my home PC at the moment, but I’m guessing that I won’t be the first to come across this.

2: I have used this lightbox script for a gallery page on the site: http://leandrovieira.com/projects/jquery/lightbox/
In the end, I had to call all the scripts in the footer, and call jQuery even thought the editor above loads it, because for some reason the editor doesn’t load up in IE6 (and therefore the dependent scripts don’t work in IE6 - so I have to load jQuery on top). The script works, but I was wondering why this is the case, or if anyone else has had this problem.

Any help with this is much appreciated. The site works fine in all the browsers I’ve tested, so I’m not too concerned, but being a stickler for the details, I’d rather figure out what I’m doing wrong.

are you trying to validate your (x)html while logged into the manager?

i would recommend you logout of the manager, or open the site in another browser, or else disable the quick manager plugin, so that you’re only seeing what a normal user will see when they visit your site. there’s no point in validating the quick editor since you’ll be the only one to ever see that (you and any admins you may have).
