I am trying to develop a web app using MODx Evolution and am new to writing snippets. I would like to have a single MODx page as the target for accessing the data in the database. To do this, I thought it would be best to make a URL that looks like [tt]
http://www.mysite.com/page/param[/tt] or [tt]
http://www.mysite.com/page?q=param[/tt] and use the param to feed my snippet so it knows how to query the database. Is there a way to access the URL inside the snippet so I can grab the param? Should I consider a different approach?
I don’t want to litter the MODx doc tree with thousands of documents and assign aliases to each when a simpler and cleaner method can be used.
Thanks for your help.
