Last time i posted a problem on here regarding IIS hosting and 301 redirect problems, I got some really nice and helpful replies. Thanks for the support.
Now i have similar problems on Apache.
Just got a new Modx site up and running with SEF Urls and i’m setting 301 redirect from old urls (dynamic ones from old site) to the new ones using .htaccess
There are a bunch of urls i need to do and some are working but some aren’t.
Here are two examples that are working -
RewriteRule ^folder/oldpage\.aspx$ http://www.mydomain.co.uk/new-page.html [L,R=301]
...and dynamic urls
RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} ^id=113$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^index\.php$ http://www.mydomain.co.uk/newpage.html? [L,R=301]
Now when i apply this to some of the old .aspx pages from the old site it doesn’t work.
Example -
RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} ^id=22$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^oldfolder/old\_page\.aspx$ http://www.mydomain.co.uk/new-page.html? [L,R=301]
Can someone please point me in the right direction.
