Database Connectivity problem -MODX parse problem - failed to select the.....

Hi,
I am doing some work on a site powered my modx. I am really liking Modx, but I am trying to find the source of this problem:
« MODx Parse Error »
MODx encountered the following error while attempting to parse the requested resource:
« Failed to select the database ’web182-isc’! »

I looked in my config.inc.php file and the database name is the correct one that I can see in mysql. It the one set here I presume: $dbase
I don’t know where modx is trying to get web182-isc from as the database doesnt exist.


Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Sounds like a Snippet being executed which is trying to connect to that database specifically perhaps? If it’s not referenced in the config.inc.php, it pretty much has to be in a script that was added to the site.

Hello! At me just the same problem as on this site http://mpkreasindo.com/. It has occurred at carrying over modx evo 1.0.4 from the localhost on a hosting. Please help

You should install MODx on your server properly.
Check your database settings, especially the username/password.

Be especially careful when creating a database and the user for it; make sure the user has all of the necessary privileges on the database.
