For a flat site I’m building I need the startid to begin above the home page - ie the root of the site or "0", which doesn’t work. What’s the workaround for this, or will I need to put the pages in a container to display in the Ditto call (prefer not to)?

Here’s the snippet call on the homepage (for the purposes of displaying a gallery):

    [!Ditto? &startID=`?` &depth=`1` &display=`4` &tpl=`gallery_home` &filter=`id,1,4,5`!]

    "Website name"
    -Home (1)
    -Kitchens (2)
    -Bedrooms (3)
    -Furniture (4)
    -About (5)

I’ve tried [!UltimateParent!] and [*parent*] ...

&startID=`0` works for me, as does &parents=`0`. What is the &filter parameter intended to do? It should only have three arguments: field, criterion, mode and you seem to have four.

If you can hard-code the IDs of the documents you want to display into the Ditto call, you could use &documents to list them, instead of getting everything with &parents and filtering out the unwanted ones.

Thank you. As I experimented with filter I realised it was interfering with things!
