[SOLVED]Linking within same page

Alright, now this is going to be easy, but I for the life of me can’t figure this out. I can do it no sweat outside of MODx so I am for sure missing something.
I want to link to bookmarks within the same page (ie <a name="#whatever"> links.

However, MODx seems to not want me to be able to do this. It interprets the links as needing the whole base_href in addition to the #, forcing the link to look like this:

http://mysite.com/site/#link

instead of

http://mysite.com/site/page/#link

Any suggestions?
