So. After playing with Drupal for about a week I have discovered modx, WOO HOO!! I am much more a designer than a developer, and I think modx can hep me bring my vision to reality. Good times! I have so far developed my theme and figured out how to post into the relevant ares of the theme. However I am little stuck on what to do now....
I’m trying to develop a site for an art gallery. This is quite simple, I want to have a number of artists details stored, along side lots of images of paintings, each artist would be related to many images. Each image should have its own information such as price or size, and I want to be able to search for an Artist and bring up the relevant info into a predtermined format. I’d also like my client to be able to add artist information in one place, i.e log on upload all of the info and a bunch of images. I can already visualize how it would be written in PHP, I could even write the CMS to go with it but I cannot fathom how I would start in modx. I understand the basics of "chunks" and "snippets" but where do I start???
Can anyone give me the nudge in the right direction I need? Thanks
