    I’m using the excellent spform in 1.0.1, seems to work ok.

    I had to commented out line:
    $responseURL = substr_replace($responseURL, ’’, strlen($responseURL)-3);

    from the file spformproc.inc.php so that it picked up the correct response URL

    but that’s all so far.

    Has anyone had any issues using it in 1.0.1 ?

    Thanks
    Mike

      Yes, I couldn’t get the captcha to work, so I removed it. I figure this form has enough spam proofing anyways with the hidden field and other things... I also can’t get the response page to come up. I’m going to try commenting out that line you’re talking about...

      ... and I just did that and it didn’t solve my issue sad

      But, not a big deal... maybe nothing is supposed to show on the response page? I don’t now. Either way, it’s fine. I’ll just put a generic "thanks, your message has been sent" type of message on that page. The form itself works fine.

        Hello,

        I also encounter sometimes a problem with the captcha.

        I’m using the equation captcha. Sometimes it works like a charm, but sometimes the error telling that the verification string failed occurs, despite the equation result is correct.

        I encountered the problem with the following configuration:

        MODx 0.9.6.2 and MODx 1.0.2
        SPForm Version: 1.0.4 Revision: 265 $
        Browser: Opera 9.6.2
        All files: utf-8

        in spfconfig.inc.php:
        $requireVerify = true;
        $useMathString = true;
        $warnVerify = true;

        Once the error occurs, it comes again and again and you cannot get rid of it, even if you purge the browser cache, the MODx cache, and refresh the page. Closing and reopening the browser seems solving the problem. Maybe is this error caused by some session variable or by the browser.

        I’m not totally sure about this, but I think the error occurs if you did an initial mistake in filling the form. After correcting errors, you get the error even if all fields are correctly filled.

        So, I disabled the captcha verification until I’m sure that this component is totally reliable.

        Does someone know the cause of this unreliabilty ?
