    Hi there,

I have used friendly alias paths for a recent project.
When the client adds an image it is referenced as "assets/images/" and not "/assets/images/"

The result is 404 errors (the above is also happening with adding hyper links.

Is there a way around this? It kind of makes the content editor useless, as I have to switch off rich text to make the edits myself and ensure the paths are absolute, but this does not work for the client?

    Any fix?

    Cheers,

    J

Check the TinyMCE plugin configuration; try "rootrelative" or "fullpathurl" for the Path Options field.

Thanks for that susan, I can see the following in the Plugin configuration:

        &tinyPathOptions=Path Options;list;rootrelative,docrelative,fullpathurl;docrelative

How do I set the params above?
I’m weary about changing it and messing it up.

Scroll down a bit; you’ll see those options are separated out into easily modified settings.

            I see that now thanks.
Regardless of which option I choose, I still get a 404.

Basically its a link from a page that sits within: /catalogue/shoes/shoe.html
            to:
            /footer-item/info.html

Regardless of the setting the link comes through as:

            /catalogue/shoes/footer-items/info.html

I though the root relative should have fixed it?

Do you have <base href="[(site_url)]" /> in the head of your template? If not try adding that and see if it helps.
