Google Maps

Ok i’m a n00b with ModX, i’m still learning and trying to get stuff to work.

I’m trying to get a google map on my page with a custom marker, i’ve looked at some of the packages, but they seam to be outdated and the manuals aren’t great..

Can anyone point me in the right direction on how i can get google maps working.

Can you give an example URL showing the type of thing you want to do?

I don’t have an example.

But what i need is the ability to make a custom sized map with a custom placed pointer on, preferally using geo codes.

There is something that does it in Joomla, hoping i can find something here. either that or it will be hacking the API which means re-using it for different sites is going to be a lenther process that using something already made.

You need to get an API key for the domain you will be running the map on also!
You last the above in the head of the doc, also note the JS onload on the body tag, will not work without this.

Could i put the code into a TV to replicate it on various places in the site? (again i’m new to this and grasping how this works)
