    I’m a newbie, and perhaps have missed some documentation along the way, I’ve read through the .pdf that was put together in December of 2006 (a bit outdated, I presume). I’ve checked the forums, as well, but haven’t gotten the answer.

    I have a site up and running, didn’t take long, I like MODx so far. BUT, my snippets are failing to use my defined pseudo-classes for a:hover, link, active, visited from my stylesheet. Where/how can I style the snippets?

    As I am new, my terminology might be incorrect. My assumption is that news items that are displayed are created by a snippet?

    I can’t style : news, most recent, login, etc.

    Thanks in advance.

      Hello 5arah and welcome to the forum!

      Assumming that you are using the democontent and are trying to style this:

      To style the content in the sidebar, you must specify the links more specific in the stylesheet:

      Eks:
      #sidebar a:hover {
      background-color:#618200;
      color:#FFFFFF;
      }

      Maybe this can help you:

      If I had misunderstod you question, please give us a example or even better a link to the pages.

        Thanks for the reply, turns out it was too-fast timeouts to my server. I’d make changes that weren’t actually getting committed to the server. PEBKAC.
