I don’t have the time (or any need for it), but it doesn’t look too bad. I think you’d just copy the files, inject the js file with $modx->regClientStartupScript(), and make the html code generator into a snippet that returns the html code. As long as it doesn’t conflict with any other js, it should work.

Thanks for the tip. I’ve been trying to tweak the JW player snippet to use this one, but I will try your advice. Thanks again
Don’t thank me until you see if it works.
I know this is an old post, but it helped me out.
I was looking for a modx snippet to play flash movies this was the post that I found using google [+modx "flv player"]. (could someone please fix the forum search feature?)
The player looked like it had all the features I needed. (splash screen and logo)
Here is the snippet call:
[[gddflvplayer? &width=`758` &height=`426` &flv=`[+video+]`]]
or
[[gddflvplayer? &width=`758` &height=`426` &flv=`[*video*]`]]
gddflvplayer -- GDD FLV Player Snippet
<?php
# Set Snippet Paths
$snippetPath = $modx->config['base_path'] . "assets/snippets/";
# check if inside manager
if ($m = $modx->insideManager()) {
return ''; # don't go any further when inside manager
}
# Snippet customize settings
$flv = isset($flv)? $flv:0;
$width = isset($width)? $width:758;
$height = isset($height)? $height:426;
$autoplay = isset($autoplay)? $autoplay:'false';
$player .= "<object width=" . $width . " height=" . $height . " data=\"" . $modx->config['base_url'] . "assets/snippets/gddflvplayer/gddflvplayer.swf\" type=\"application/x-shockwave-flash\">";
$player .= "<param name=\"flashvars\" value=\"&autoplay=" . $autoplay . "&sound=70&desc=&buffer=5";
$player .= "&splashscreen=" . $modx->config['base_url'] . "assets/images/video_splash.jpg";
$player .= "&vdo=" . $modx->config['base_url'] . $flv . "\" />";
$player .= "<param name=\"src\" value=\"" . $modx->config['base_url'] . "assets/snippets/gddflvplayer/gddflvplayer.swf\" />";
$player .= "<param name=\"wmode\" value=\"transparent\" />";
$player .= "<param name=\"allowfullscreen\" value=\"true\" />";
$player .= "<param name=\"quality\" value=\"best\" />";
$player .= "</object>";
# Return
return $player;

I had only one splashscreen for the site, so it was only in one location.
You need to change the snippet.
from
$player .= "&splashscreen=" . $modx->config['base_url'] . "assets/images/video_splash.jpg";
to
$player .= "&splashscreen=" . $splash;
then call it like...
[[gddflvplayer? &width=`758` &height=`426` &flv=`[+video+]` &splash=`[+MyMovie-Splash+]`]]

Hi bwente:
I used your snippet and now I can see the video player (gddflvplayer.swf) in the page that I want it. The problem is that I don’t know how can I specify or declare the video’s path, can you give me any kind of advice on this? (by the way, I’m using a flv video file).
I tried modifying some variables on the php code but it doesn’t worked. Thank you very much.
Best regards.
