Hi all i’ve installed Simple machines forum on my local server (works great). No im trying to install the modx connector module for it.
When i install i get the follwoing:

Setup will now attempt to setup the database:
Creating connection to the database: OK!

    Selecting database `ennah_modx`: OK!

    Module:

    SMF Connector: Upgraded

    Plugin:

    SMFConnect: Upgraded

Fatal error: Call to a member function getFullTableName() on a non-object in /var/www/ennah/modx-1.0.0/manager/processors/cache_sync.class.processor.php on line 107

Can anyone shed any light on this?

    Thanks in advance.

I’m not sure how much help it will be, but it means that the $modx object is not available in the code when line 107 of that file executes. That’s a MODx file, not part of the the connecter install, so I’m not sure what would need to be done to make it work.

I’ve seen this before and solved it by passing $modx as an argument to the function containing the problem line (and removing the "global $modx").

Thanks for that BobRay. Additionally, when i try to access the module through modx i get an alert popup that says:

Unable to load SMF settings. Please make sure that the SMF Path ’’ was entered correctly

Can anyone tell me where I can change this ?

        Thanks

My manager figured it out in the end.

Basically the module has not been updated to install correctly on the latest version of modx therefore the installation is not completed when the above error occurs.
You have to go into the module configuration in modx and set up the path yourself.

Then it works like a dream.
