    Hi all!

Thumbnails disappeared from my site’s FCK editor image browser huh. But I have nested folders inside the images folder and those thumbnail are displayed correctly. So it’s all happening with the root image directory: assets/images

I also noticed that I can upload new images using the manager’s file manager and the FCK editor but they wont generate new thumbnails and the Image browser screen remains empty.

Also the File manager list shows a greyed out red circle for many of the images I uploaded. I tried generating new thumbnails with a desktop image editor batch process(named them .thumb_filename.jpg) and uploading them by FTP. All of these files appear with a greyed out red circle. File permissions are 644 for all.

Some of the older images have the delete function enabled with the proper red circle displayed. The only difference I can tell between these and the ones greyed out is that the FTP client shows different user/owner/group for "enabled" images.

Checked phpinfo and GD is on.

I’m stuck with this for days, any help would be great.

In case anyone runs into something like this, you must make sure not to use special characters on images’ filenames.
The imagebrowser resumed to display files correctly as soon as I renamed an image filename with latin character "ú", substituting it for "u".
