Is there anything currently that has been developed for modx that works with JCrop to edit the images? I need control over the thumbnail and the original image separately. The client needs to be able to resize their thumbnail, and I think JCrop is a good way to go about it. If not, can someone point me in the direction of image handling in the API so I can get on writing a module? I have looked and have no clue where to start.

Isn’t the default modx Image Editing module enough?

When you insert an image into the modx you get 3 icons beneath the thumb. Of of those opens the image editor.

Also, if the clients needs to have control over the image why don’t they use an image editor to crop/resize the images and then upload the images. There are tons of free image editors. Even online ones. There is one that looks like photoshop: http://www.pixlr.com/editor/

Actually would be nice to have this feature build in somehow.
