Hi
I’m trying to build a book review site. There will be a set of books, a set of reviewers, and a set of reviews (some of which may be by more than one reviewer, and/or of more than one book). I’d also like a Books For Review page, where un-reviewed books can be listed.
I’m new to MODx, but it seems to me the best way to do this is this:
* Set up Books DB, Reviewers DB and Reviews DB as container resources
* Assign various relevant template variables to Books (title, publisher, cover image etc) and Reviewers (forename, surname, biog etc)
* For each Review, give the ID/s of the book/s being reviewed, the ID/s of the reviewer/s reviewing them, and the review text
However, I’ve no idea how to make a template/snippet to combine the data for a Review page, or how to sift through the Books to see which are as yet un-reviewed.
Any suggestions? ...or is there a better way to do all this?
