Sorry about the cryptic title. I just finished playing Gears and I’ve been drinking. To whit: I want to load pages via AJAX. MODx is supposed to be an AJAX CMS so how do I go about doing that? I understand that MODx uses Mootools instead of jQuery (it’s only shortcoming in my opinion) so how do you incorporate AJAX functionality here? Thanks a ton!

You can use whatever Javascript libraries you want with MODx, and creating an AJAX resource in MODx is as simple as creating a document with a snippet that prepares the kind of response your client code expects, be it HTML, XML, JSON, etc.

Okay, so it’s not that MODx has some built-in AJAX functionality, it’s just that it lends itself to coding said functionality. Thanks!
