Is there a way to actually preview changes to a published page? The current set up (unless i’m doing something wrong) is really a review, not preview. The system seems so good, that i can’t imagine this is the way

In effect what is does is:
    edit > publish > review

    not:
    edit > preview > publish

I looked around the forum and there is some stuff about duplicating the page (unpublished), making the changes, reviewing it, deleting the one version, then publishing the new one. There is also some ’wishlist’ posts 2007 ish about adding this workflow in.

Is there a module or a simpler way of properly previewing a published page? Like how the forum works ;-)

    I am using version 1.0.0 / rev 5601

    Cheers

Unfortunately, the advice about duplicating the page is the best you’re going to find at the current time. Unlike a forum post, MODx Resources are made up of many different pieces and it is very complex to combine them for a "preview" of the whole without saving the changes to the database. It is probably something that can be achieved eventually, at least with some caveats, but no has endeavored or been able to implement such a feature thus far.
