All of my MODx development sites on locahost are busted. I’m getting the message that says:
"MODx is not currently installed or the configuration file cannot be found. Do you want to install now?"
It is installed and has been working until today.
I run MAMP for these development projects and have checked all of those settings and they are all working (correct mappings, databases still intact).
I installed a new hard drive and moved all of my project files to the new drive. I kept the new drive name the same in order to avoid any hiccups like this, but I’m certain that is the cause of the problem.
I thought about running the installer, but the only options are clean install and advanced. I’m hesitant to run as I don’t want to lose anything, so any advice as to how to resolve this issue is welcome.

SOLVED: I went ahead and did an advanced install. That worked. I did have to go into the siteCache.idx.php and change the ’rb_base_dir’ to the correct path. Turns out making sure the permissions on the config are 444 and changing that line solve the problem.
