Hi there,
I’ve been using quite some CMSs for couple of years: Mambo, Joomla, Wordpress, Website Baker, CMS Made Simple and have tried Modx 1.5 years ago. It was an amazing system, however, the client favored Website Baker, so I kinda forgot about Modx since then.
I have just re-installed Modx some days ago and I gotta say it’s really better (and wondering why Modx did not make it to the finalists of Packtpub 2008 CMS Award - that’s ...so weird).
I also downloaded the Alpha version for Modx Revolution 2.0 and see some certain improvements in the admin interface (look&feel + usability).
However, I’m having some upcoming projects that clients require a stable Open Source CMS with bug fixing versions delivered by an active community, so I would like to kindly asks: Will Modx 0.9x versions be supported? Will there be a lot of continual bug fixings? Or you guys will shift your focus into the Revolution version?
Thank you very much, and please excuse my poor English.
Hieu
Thank you so much for your prompt reply - kongondo.
Yes I really love modx in terms of speed, great use of AJAX and SEO (damn it’s so good).
For purely content website, I gotta say Modx is second to none. For ease of use, it’s one of the top. (
Well Website Baker is really really user-friendly)
I will stay with Modx for a long long time and I hope I will be able to contribute to the forum
Cheers,
Hieu
