    Hi,

I’ve to distribute lessons via email. After registering, the pupils shall receive emails with lessons on a - more or less - regular time basis.

    How could I achieve this?

Do you know of modx plugin or a combination of existing plugins/snippets to realize this?

Or should I go for e-learnings like Moodle - which seems to be "over the top" in my opinion, as lessons should not be worked on online, but offline after receiving them by email.

    Any clues?

    Cheers

      Hi Frisco,

this sounds as if TXNewsletters or TE Mailer would be a good starting point:

Yes, looks promising, but lacks the possibility of doing more then just sending newsletters to user groups, if I got it right.

According to my research I think what I need is called "follow-up autoresponder". This does more, it can send different content at different times.

        I would need something like:

        Registration
        Same day: Introduction, first lesson
        1 week later: Second lesson
some days later: Third lesson (and so on ...)

Even better: Send next lesson when user requires it, i.e. via a link in the email.

I found no such modules in modx, but maybe it could be built upon one of the newsletter scripts you mentioned above? Or in combination with another module?

        Cheers
