Is it normal for Modx to be slow? im looking at a video of someone using Modx and it seems to be going a whole lot faster than mine does..

Im getting something like "wait while Modx loads the page..." or something similar. Is there something thats wrong with my installation?

When I go into Cpanel and check the error log it says this

          Well apparently, this
          RewriteCond: bad flag delimiters

means you have an error in your .htaccess file, see below for an explanation

          http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_causes_the_error_.htaccess_RewriteCond_bad_flag_delimiters_when_blocking_user_agents_using_.htaccess
Use MODx, or the cat gets it!

Problem in your .htaccess file could certainly slow down entire site, as it effects the whole site.

If its a huge site the size of the cache file can slow things down, but this is not the case here, I would fix the .htaccess file and see if problem still exists.

If its shared hosting and there are lots of sites on the machine, you can get this.
Open Firebug (Plugin for Firefox) and click on the Net tag.

This will let you know whats downloading, and taking so long!! How long are we talking here?

                      what net tag?

In firebug there is a tag that say "net" (I’m not talking about the MODx Manager here)
I just want to know how long it is taking to load the pages that’s all wink
