Passing a variable into the query of the sql statment??

Sorry for the confusion, I would like it to load on the same page as the dropdowns, but there is already text on the page from the initial loading of it, as well as the initial dropdowns.

This dog it isn’t working correctly yet but if you put any number in it will pull the page I am needing help with.

An aside - you can help avoid typos like this, make your sql nicely readable and ensure the correct type for your arguments using sprintf():

$sql = sprintf("
       SELECT callname, regname
       FROM tbldogs
       WHERE dog_id=%d",
       (int)$id
       );
$rs=$modx->db->query($sql);

I’ve never used the sprintf function... but I am going to start.
