Looks as though you have no config.inc.php in this install. Did you install it through the /setup folder?. It still needs to be installed even if you have another installation in your web root. I have quite a few MODx installs co-existing in my webroot both evo and revo with no problems at all. You can give them separate databases, or the same database with a different table prefix. It depends what you are trying to do.
Use MODx, or the cat gets it!

I installed it via http. Tried with separate databases/prefixes from the start with no success.

Hmm.. i was wondering is it because i was installing it under the VM fusion shared folder and doing symbolic link to the apache document root folder thats causing the problem..

        Thanks laugh

Okay, got it fixed. Used the full path in document.parser.class.inc.php for MODX_BASE_PATH and it worked laugh

Btw, where do i modify MODX_BASE_PATH?
