News slideshow

So i was looking around in the modx showcase and found this site:
http://www.nrg.rs/

I want to have a similar "news slide show" - auto swapping images, small thumbnails that highlights when active and images that link to subsites.

Couldn’t find any snippet that dose this?
Anyone know where i can find a tutorial, snippet or what ever to make the same feature?

Thanks a bunch

a little bit googling and you are here:

I think there’s a couple of jQuery (and other js libs) plugins that allow you to do this. Will see if I can find some links..

Interestingly though, a look at the source code of the site you’ve mentioned reveals that they are using Frontpage Slideshow" for Joomla 1.0.x (v1.6)! They must have modded it for use in MODx.. Actually there is a version that will work on any php based site. I suppose that is what they are using. If this were to be ported as a MODx snippet, it shouldn’t be too much work, would it MODx snippet gurus? (hint, hint.)

cheers/k

EDIT: Aaah, Bruno was faster on the trigger...

Hi there,

i got this one working with MaxiGallery: http://coffeescripter.com/code/ad-gallery/ i’m sure you get this running using Ditto displaying News-items too. It’s highly customizable
