Is it something wrong with the database charset ?, does anyone know how to fix this problem.

    Thanx a lot in advance

In your Manager, go to Reports -> System Info. You’ll see your database’s information listed; what you are interested in is Database Charset and Database Collation Charset. These as well as your MODx configuration should be utf-8.

If they are not, the only thing I can suggest (if your site is still very new and you don’t have a lot of content yet) is to re-install, with a new database created with utf8 and utf-8_unicode_ci collation.

Thanx a lot Susan it worked YAY... grin

I changed the database collation using phpMyAdmin and then reinstalled. Thanks a lot for the help.

And, rfoster, when a CMS/CMF is free fast and flexible, it would be not nice if people around the whole world don’t start using it. Thanx a lot. smiley
