I made my first date TV, and found that I have to use the date picker, and cannot manually edit the date-time value. This is surprising, as the same field type appears to be used for the publish and unpublish date fields, and those are manually editable. (note this is also the case when I install the DateTimePicker plugin.

It would seem that using the date input is not what I need anyway, as I need to input dates prior to 1970. I will use a text field and a custom phx snippet to convert a simple month-day-year input into the format I want.

Still, why would we not want a more flexible date parameter, one that can handle *any* date in the past or future and also be manually editable.

    Cheers!

They should be editable (bug report: MODX-866) - it looks like the TV rendering of the date fields wasn’t fixed though. I will ensure that gets fixed for the Evo 1.0.1 release.

      Thanks for the feedback smiley

I’m sorry, I should have mentioned I’m on 9.6.1. SO this may well have been fixed!

Ah, ok - well, anyhow, there are some other date-picker fixes that need to be done for Evo 1.0.1 so I will double-check as I go through those to make sure that the datepicker fields are editable.
