How to create navigation menu?

Hi ModX enthusiasts,

I am very new to modx. I am using CMS MadeSimple in most of my projects currently, but I am willing to start migrating to modx for several reasons.

Ok, now I have been playing around with the 1.0.0 which looks great. Thanks for this!!!

Currently I am trying to figure out how the navigation menu can be designed and implemented (called Wayfinder, right?). I am trying to create a main menu and a submenu. These are in separate div-boxes. I want to hightlight the parent categories and the current page in the navigation bar.

But how could I do it? I searched the web for some how tos which could fit my requirements but was not successful. Could you give me a sample how to achieve that?

If you need an example what I mean, please let me know.
