Hi,
very new to MODx... i have installed MODx v1
i have set the .htaccess as outlined in the wiki and it kind of works...
if you go to my site
zen-hosts.com you will see the freash MODx install
if you click on the contact us link you will see the URL reads zen-hosts.com/index.php?id=6
i edited this pages alias from the preset ’contact-us’ to ’goaway’ to test and it works
zen-hosts.com/goaway bring up the same page.
but when i mouse-hover over links i get the SQL created URL and not SEF URLs.
i dont know why this is happening or how to correct it...
SEF URLS work, but only if hand typed into the browsers address bar... i tried the same test on zen-hosts.com/design
how do i fix this?

Try clearing the site cache; cached pages will still have the old menu with the old URLs.

Did you turn on the Friendly URLs in the manager’s configuration?
Did you give an alias to your doc ? friendly URLs use aliases...

If an alias is not supplied, MODx will by default simply use the document ID with the suffix specified in the configuration, such as 42.html. You can also tell it via the configuration to automatically create an alias out of the document’s title.
