    Hi

I am trying to uninstall modx because I feel like trying other CMS’ out. What is the procedure for that?

I tried delete all modx related folders, but it won’t let me delete the assets folder. There are 2 files inside that I can’t delete.

    /web/assets/cache/rss/2552d997701d0d006f31cce7d173cba6
    /web/assets/cache/rss/473f87e41ffeb3b17300ae4cbe2fe54b

I can’t change permissions on them neither. And my database has around 40 modx relates tables - I guess I should delete them too?

    Thanks

Try to delete the files inside those folder first, then erase the folders.

If it doesn’t work I am afraid you’ll need shell access to erase those files, you can’t CHMOD those files since you’re not the unix user who owns it... unless you have something like a file manager with root access (overriding ownership, or able to do a CHOWN) which is usually made available by your host in the form of a control panel of some kind.

If not, you’ll have to ask your host to erase them...
