    Hi there,

Can anybody please confirm (or reject) the fact that on MODx 1.0.2 the system/apache variables like [(server_protocol)] just only return http (or port 80) - and not rely on which protocol/port the user actually connects?

    Thanks a lot,
    Ki

Make sure you don’t cache these values or the first person to access them will set the value for everyone else.

        Hi OpenGeek

Thanks for your answer (once again... ;-)!

In my tests I always cleared the cache and/or used the non-cacheable snippet syntax.

The example you told me worked fine - but not any more on a fresh installation with MODx 1.0.2 on Ubuntu... Even phpinfo() returns just only port 80 (with changing URIs).

Thanks a lot and best Regards,
        Ki

          Hi all,

There was a strange apache ssl misconfiguration with virtual hosts: Connections with https worked fine - but the variables were wrong...

          Thanks,
          Ki
