I cannot access my file manager because it says the path is invalid. It seems to be ever since I moved the site from being local to on a live server. Here is what I currently have set in my configuration that I think may be causing problems:

    File Manager Path: http://www.mattpealingdesign.co.uk/file/modx/
    File Base Path: http://www.mattpealingdesign.co.uk/file/modx/assets/
    File Browser URL: assets/

If anyone could get back to me on what I need to change that would be great!

Paths are not URLs. A path is from the actual server’s file path; for example it might be
      /home/username/public_html/
In the case of my local MAMP installations, it’s
      /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/modx/
Of course, if you’re on a Windows server it will probably look a bit different; it would help if you let us know your site’s details.

Thanks, I’ve changed them to the following but still no luck!

        file base path: /public_html/file/modx/assets/
        file browser url: assets/
        file manager path: /public_html/file/modx/

I seriously doubt that those are correct paths on your server. Go to Reports -> System Info, and click on the view link for phpinfo(). Scroll to the bottom and look for the SERVER variables. Look for one called _SERVER["DOCUMENT_ROOT"]. You’ll need to add any subdirectories to this if your MODx installation is not in that root directory (mine, for example, is in a subdirectory named 5615).

If you’re using 1.0, the file paths will be displayed on the main System Info page, just above the database display grid.
          MODX_BASE_PATH /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/5615/

Also be aware that the two in Interface & Features are for the resource browser in the Rich Text editor (inserting images and such), while the one in the File Manager tab is for the File Manager.
