I have set the maximum upload in my php.ini to 20MB, restarted Apache, set the max filesize in the MODx config to 20971520 bytes, but I can only upload files up to around 6MB.

Its on a linux server with PHP5 and MODx 0.9.6.3.

Any ideas? The client needs to upload to at least 10-12MB, and this figure is likely to increase over time!

    cheers,

There are a number of other settings that can influence this, including Apache settings.

Even if you do succeed in getting everything configured to allow uploading such large files, you should keep in mind that this is using HTTP - HyperText Transmission Protocol. It was never intended to do more than move small text files for browsers to render. Perhaps you should look into PHP’s FTP functions and create a simple FTP upload script. That’s what File Transfer Protocol was designed to do, after all.

Problem solved... I had set upload_max_size but not post_max_size.

        Thanks for the links.
